Almost unbelievable how many great prompts are in this book!
It didn’t take long for this book to blow me away. Right from the start, I was reading through the fiction prompts and I wanted to work on the ideas I saw presented. As someone who writes fiction, I felt like I discovered gold here. The fiction section alone has 500 writing prompts. 500! It’s not just the amount of them that is impressive. The ideas suggested in the prompts are very creative and will get your creative juices flowing.
Even though I focus on fiction writing, I also looked through the sections on poetry and creative nonfiction prompts and was equally impressed with them. I was even inspired and ended up writing a few poems – something I hadn’t attempted to do in many years.
If you’re looking for help in getting ideas for things to write about, then this book should be just the thing to help you out. It’s great!

Awesome book filled with treasure!
I found my head swimming with tons of ideas
“Some of the prompts I’ve used exactly as they are presented in this text, but for the most part, I’ve found them very flexible for combining, altering, expanding…. Some of them also reminded me of old writing ideas I’d once had but had forgotten. If the point of the book is to get you thinking so you can write freely, then it is more than successful in achieving its purpose.” — jaypay89 (Amazon verified purchaser)

I give this book 5 Stars…
“…and highly recommend it to all fiction, nonfiction, and poetry writers, aspiring writers, bloggers or journalists. It is very well organized and includes something for everyone. The author thoroughly covers all genres. I am writing fiction, but read the chapters for poetry and nonfiction and found great ideas in these sections as well for future projects. I was amazed at the creative, diverse number of high-quality prompts and ideas. It has become my go-to book when I need inspiration. This book is a must have for any writer.” – Sunny
This is just the book I needed!
“I am a beginning writer who is constantly stuck on coming up with ideas to begin short stories in my practice writing. I am so excited to have found this easy to read, right to the point arrangement of story ideas.
I find it useful to begin a story, and also to move the story along in the middle. Thanks, Ms. Donovan for such a thoughtful sharing of ideas!” – Amazon Customer

Everything I was looking for
“I have the grammatical aspect of writing down, but sometimes the ideas just aren’t there. I have spent the last several years combing the web trying to find good story starters and writing prompts but have never been able to find more than a few here and there.
By the first page, I realized that I will probably never have to look elsewhere. I didn’t find myself skipping over them to get to the good prompts…they are ALL good. Well developed. Unique. Interesting.
I am 100% satisfied and would recommend this book to anyone who is struggling to find the right story to tell.” – Bree Salyer
