Well, the funny thing is that we didn’t get her to do it. She just did it on her own! At the time I fainted, I was actually reading a book on astral projection. I’m not saying that’s what happened to me, because it very well could have been my imagination, but it sure felt real! Cool stuff!

OK I am officially jealous of number 1. I couldn't get my two cats to do that if I could actually speak "cat". In fact one of them has been a pain to stop peeing *outside* of his litter box. I think I can also relate to your feinting or at least the out of body experience. Years ago I would lie in bed fast asleep but I would get up in a half-walking/half-floating sense and move about my house. Many times I was convinced I was awake only to be shocked when I woke up and realised I was still in bed. A friend suggested it was a form of Astral Projection, which I thought was pretty cool but since she mentioned that it has never happened since. Hi Rebecca! It is definitely easy to lie there, getting lost in one’s thoughts while ogling the moon and the sky I do eat other meats, but not a whole lot. I’m aware of how animal slaughter works, and I prefer to purchase free range. Actually, I’m not that big a fan of any kind of meat anyway, though I do like to eat fish. It wouldn’t be a very big stretch for me to become a vegetarian, but I have to say that I occasionally get a craving and I think it’s because my body needs some vitamins in whatever I’m craving – red meat, for example, is the only source of all B vitamins (at least that’s what I read somewhere). I try to take a B supplement every other day or so.

Hail, fellow Gemini! It’s interesting to find others who share the astro-space. I love the moon as well but I think it is the idea of what is ‘out there’ that really intrigues me. In the grand vastness of the universe I feel it’s impossible to consider that this planet is the only one sustaining life. To believe we are the only sentient planet is sheer arrogance.

I found your point on pork interesting. Do you eat other meats? Did you know, the horrific slaughter of animals is not reserved for pigs? *grins* Spend time with me and I’ll have you a vegetarian in no time and then eat meat in front of you.

So many moon people... sounds like there should be special division in the writer's club. I'm not really into astrology, but I read enough about my own sign to be convinced that perhaps there is some truth to them. A lot of what I read about Aquarius kinda rings true with me in a really weird but very interesting way. Anyway, I expanded a bit on the cheese in a new post. I’m always surprised by how many people are fascinated by the moon – it just doesn’t come up much in conversation. I’m also constantly surprised at how many people understand astrology and know about the different signs! If you are born near the cusp, that could explain why you have some traits of another sign. There could be other reasons too, which would be revealed in your natal chart. Okay, I’m getting way too deep into it…

I haven’t eaten veal since I was a little kid. Ugh – it’s so disgusting. I call it “tortured baby cow,” and I just find the whole process extremely disturbing, which is why I’m so glad that California (where I live) outlawed treating animals so inhumanely. Even if they’re raised for food, there’s no reason for them to live a tortured life!

Yeah, the moon. I’m a lunar-tic myself. I’m just before you guys from an astrological standpoint and wonder if my mother gave birth too early. I like being a stubborn bull but, I’ll tell you, I get pretty strange sometimes — my husband asked me a few weeks back if I was living two lives.

Oh, and I swore off veal many moons ago because, as much as I loved it, I cannot condone how it’s made. Humans can be sick sometimes. I have heard the pigs cry and I cannot handle it! I still eat pork but I cannot be around where they meet their demise.

You do know how much trouble two Geminis can be, right? Heheh… We sure have a lot in common! I think you’re lucky you never saw what went on inside the slaughterhouse. The videos I saw were about factory farms and they scarred me for life. Thanks for tagging me Kate; this was a fun post to write.
