Send Them to Me! Writing Forward’s First Contest

I am very pleased and excited to present Writing Forward’s very first contest. It’s super simple, and totally straightforward.
The blog that sends the most traffic to Writing Forward during the month of February wins.
You can use links, write reviews, anything you want. Just send them to me! Muahaha!
The Rules
- The referring site must be a blog with real content; no splogs — and it doesn’t have to be about writing or even blogging; it can be a blog about anything.
- Traffic source will be determined based on domain, not page URL, so traffic can come from any page or post on your blog and still count toward your main blog URL.
- Doesn’t matter how folks get here, as long as they come from your site, you’ll get credit.
- Any automated techno-gadgets that increase the counts of visitors from your site will be result in disqualification; real and honest traffic only please!
- Traffic from corporate and social networking sites will not be considered.
I’ll be using Google Analytics and looking at visits between 2/1/08 and 2/29/08.
The Prize
Well, I wish I could give something fancy like a bunch of Amazon gift certificates, but I’m going to have to be creative. How about I give a little reciprocation… some traffic! The winner will receive one of those 125×125 ad slots you see over there in the far right sidebar. If you already have 125×125 ad artwork, you can send it to me on March 1st after you’ve won. If you don’t have one, or want a new one, I’ll make you one (bonus!) and you can keep it and use it on EntreCard and anywhere else you want. It’ll be all yours. Only if you want it though. By the way, your free ad will run through April 1st.
To Enter
Ah, here’s the tricky part. You can send all the traffic in the world, but it won’t matter unless you leave a comment declaring your intentions. You must actually enter the contest. If a blog belonging to someone who hasn’t entered sends the most traffic, I’ll give them an honorable mention but no free ad space! You can say whatever you want in the comments below. Just by leaving a comment, you’re entering the contest. If you’re super shy and can’t handle commenting in public, you can use the contact form to enter instead. Just make sure you include the name and/or link to your blog (in your comment or on the contact form). Good luck!
