Hi Robin, I appreciate your insight on the Book of Days since you've read it, but I would like to point out that people who are under eight, who are mentally aberrant, or haven't gone past grade school might appreciate such a book. Most writing resources aren't for everyone. The trick is to find the ones that work for you. That's why reviews are so helpful. Luckily, sites like Amazon feature tons of reviews that can help all of us make informed decisions about which resources are a good fit for our skill level and style.

Yes, I had the Book of Days also. It ended up in the bin where it belonged. It was apparent written by someone who believed all people who aspired to write, were under eight, were mentally abberant or hadn't gone past grade school.

The Artist's Way is another excellent resource, and it shares some similarities with Writing Down the Bones. They go well together. I'll have to check out the other recommendations you've shared. Thanks so much!
